Alright, I purchased a OE Trac Lok LSD unit out of a truck with 4000 miles on the clock. I'm getting ready to install it next weekend but I want to make sure I have everything I need. Is the LSD unit all that I will need? Pretty much what I'm asking is this a straight across swap?

The LSD should fit right in but you will need a mini install kit. I recommend having everything fresh and installing a master kit.
Mini kit on top, Master kit on the bottom.

I'd agree. Any time you pull the carrier, I'd at least do the mini kit.

I hope it was cheap and I hope it don't fall apart on ya. What year did the LSD come out of and has Dodge actually fixed the problem? From '02 - '05 there are a tremendous amount of those POS LSD's failed.

I had a 2002 with a LSD clip problem. This one came out of a 2006, and I paid 200 bones for it.

Well I decided i'm not comfortable enough to install it myself. I have an appointment at six states monday morning. $150 for the job.
