I can't seem to get my wife convinced on buying a magnum. we are looking for a family car because we have a little one coming (our first). between the both of us we have 3 mustangs and they don't make it easy to get a child in and out of the back seat. we have both agree on selling my 02 GT, but what to buy in replacement is the question. i am having trouble parting with my V8 so i suggested the magnum R/T. she wants an Lexus IS300. problem is we will have to buy a used 01 or 02 IS300 to get in the price range we want. now here is the good news, through my dad's employment they offer a plan to him and meditate family that consist of $8000 off agreed selling price. so in turn i could recieve $10000 off with other incentives. this would put a NEW magnum R/T in the price range i am looking for. she doesn't like the looks of the magnums. this is her reasoning. are there any females that like the magnums? a friend is haveing the same trouble with his wife.
thanks.

Just buy it, man.
If she digs it, let her drive it sometimes. If not, just let her wash it.
lol
She has to dig it, man. If not, looks like a job for Dr. Phil.

Show her the Charger....4 doors and a Hemi....what more could you want?

It does have a slightly different appearance but the interior is pretty much the same.

One thing you don't wanna do is PO a pregnant woman. :)

Do what I did, tell her the car has to be new and choice is between the Magnum R/T and a Scion XB. Show her both of them up close. I tried to convince her the Scion was a better deal, but she made me buy the Magnum

IS300? I guess if you want to have trouble finding your car in the parking lot it's a good choice.

Just get the R/T. Explain the MDS to your wife and how you can have the 8 and get the gas milage of a 6. My wife said my black R/T looked like a Hearse and didn't want me to buy it. Now, less than two months later, if she leaves for work before I do, my car is gone! Trust me, it'll grow on her.

Yeah, i think it will grow on her. i just started working on her so it is early. i can't say who is going to drive it the most. it will probably be me, but who is to say. i recently bought a nice little toyota pickup and she thinks she is going to drive it all the time. it's hard making your wife happy and to be happy yourself. the wonders of being married.

I wanted a magnum from day 1. My wife was against a "station wagon" at all costs. Thought I should get a 300. Well when it came time to get the 300, we went to the dealer, we looked at the 300, she glanced at the Magnum and said "look how much more room that has, you should get the car you want". We both love the Magnum.

My wife was my driving force to purchase the Magnum. I was in a Mercedes, and while on vacation, we looked a Magnum on the Thrify rental lot. She instantly fell in love with it, and it was a SE!! I wound up with a Black SXT, and love it, and so does she.

I'm the driving force behind our Magnum order. I was driving a Mercedes C320 wagon and my husband and I were looking at the new E wagons since we wanted something a bit larger. Why blow 70K on the E when we can get the Magnum R/T (an E in disguise) for less than 40K? I love the way it looks and can't wait to try out those 340 horses. I'd love an SRT-8, but that just blows my husbands mind! He's already jealous that I'll have more h.p. than his 06 SLK350! Maybe I'll let him drive it some!

Well I wanted it because I love muscle cars but you may not want to tell her that. I happen to like the looks.
Here's some pluses. Number one with the new baby is the safety features, side air bags, child seat anchors, etc.
Handling.
Shopping - lots of room and very nice to put stuff in the back.
And best of all people look at you so I had to go buy nicer clothes and jewelry. Haha! What woman can resist that?!

Regina my husband wouldn't let have the 6.1 either so I had to settle for a measly 340HP. Glad to see more gals here.
I had to get rid of my 210hp 318 LA V8 truck to save on fuel. :VHOT:

Now I have to settle on a measly 62hp 88.6Cid 3A-C I4 car. :bawl:
