Hi all,

I'm looking to replace the heater resistor in my '74. Tried the usuals (NAPA, Checker) and partsamerica.com - no listing. Doe anyone have a part number and source?

Thanks,

Ok, this could be a problem as I believe these were discontinued years ago.
Do you have A/C or just a heater?
I have all the old parts books so just let me know what you have.

autopartsgiant.com, has several listings for your trk....They do, however , list a `blower motor resister`.... whether your resister is in the switch, or, they are calling the blower motor a `resister`, Im not sure.......Check em out, maybe you can find something.....

autosupplyco.com, has your resister listed, but, alas, NLA....they do have a quote form you can fill out, online, as they will try to find one for you.....The part # is RU 12T. Perhaps CHUMP can recommend a replacement part from another year, that may fit, with a little work or soldering.....Good luck........

Another possibility:

Standard Motor Products RU-12T--it's on their website.

Looks like autopartsgiant.com carries this part.

Unfortunately RU-12T turns out to be a ballast resistor for the ignition.

If you don't need the old one, i'd like to have it for research purposes. :D
Just because I'm curious now... What kind of 'research' are you doing on these? Is this some sort of 'Robot Chicken' thing, or what? :D :D :D
