How do you get the little plastic screws out of the headlights where it holds the rubber onto the metal. Any tricks on taken the headlights out?

So what do you grab them with?? , I see the ones you have to actually have a ratchet whatever but the other ones you yank, so they dont break or what. Also which bulbs are brighter the ones they send withe the clear corners or my Piaa Superwhites??
