1) headers=more power and torque across the rpm band, and depending on muffler choice, etc., usually louder, better gas mileage, all around well worth it IMO
2) very worth it, love mine
tri ys for a truck. thats what ive been told for an all arounder that helps with torque and some up high too. lts are more top end and shorties are supposed to be mostly low end and mid. but anything will perform better than stock, like most mods, its where you want the power at.
