Looking to install new headers on my 06 R&T. I'm a little confused on whether or not to get shorty's or long tube. My understanding is that the long tube will get rid of the stock cat but not be "bolt-on" as would shorty's. Any in put or suggestions?

Well if you live in Cali. long tubes will not pass smog.

Long tube ones are not a direct bolt on. You will have to do some cutting on the exhaust.

Shorties like JBA will bolt right on, then you can get a set of high flow cats.

You install anything "new" towards the engine-side of the catalytic converters, your warranty is void, from what I've been told...

Mighty Noid's right, if emissions (i.e. living in CA) are an issue go w/Shorty’s.

I put dynatech LT headers on mine; they came w/high flow CATs and midpipes that bolt right up to the muffler.

Morpar’s headers are also nice. My dynatech’s scrape on speed bumps every now and then. Mopar’s are a little shorter and give you stock ground clearance. They bolt right up as well and I believe they come w/high flow CATs.
