I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if anyone has ever cut a 3" body lift in half. I already have a 3" Rancho lift but want to go just a little bigger; however due to new laws in the great state of Utah, a 3" body lift is illegal on the street. I figured straight down the middle would work. I realize I may need get new bolts, but I am concerned about the brackets and I beleive there is a peice that extends the steering.

Well I was digging around, and looking at how many people have done torsion lifts, Do you guys think I can get the extra inch or so I need from the cranking the torsion bars?

I looked underneath and have at least 1.5 -2 inches of thread left. Let me know what you think

you could crank your torsion bars a little but not much, and they have smaller body lifts out, i know they have a 2" maybe even 1" so you should check that out

Thanks for the help. I was looking around all over the place for a 1 or 2" body lift for the Dakota but can't find one. If you know where I can find one, let me know.
