Those hankooks look ok I GUESS. Decent price online. $146 per tire.

I love my 305-70-16 goodyear MTR's.......... $180 per tire. I got 64k out of them. I do a lot of highway driving though. I wasn't getting the greatest traction in mud near the end but I got a lot of miles out of them. I wasn't even to the wear bars before winter hit and I decided to get another set. Get the biggest baddest tires you can get!!!!!

Well I'm guessing you already have them on by now. I had the Hankook Dyna Pro MT 295's first for about 1200 miles before I changed lifts and went with the 315/75/16. Discount Tire is where I got mine and they were nice enought to credit me back 100% of the purchase price on the 295's towards the 315's.

I absolutely love these tires. Both the 295's and the 315's ride great. They both balanced up nice with my alloy rims. They are fairly quiet on road and seem to have good traction off road too. I want to air mine down and do a trail with them that way too so that I can get a better picture of how they are off road. So far so good though, and I think when more of these tires get out there, they will get a bigger following.

They are not a Goodyear MTR, or even a BFG MT, but they are a nice alternative to a BFG AT, or a Dick Cepek Fun Country, or Micky Thompson ATZ. They are a MT as designed and adverstised, but I think it would be fair to consider them an aggressive AT rather than an MT....IMO.

Here is a picture for those that have not seen them:

From what I understand Hankook is a Korean Tire company with no affiliation with General tire or any USA tire company. Maybe General has something similar................do you have any info?

I just went to Hankooks corporate site and they are their own tire company that sells exclusively under their name only in over 170 countries across the world. They have a USA corporate headquarters in New Jersey. I also went to Generals site and I don't see anything like the Dyna Pro MT.

I would still be interested in what you saw at Wal-Mart.............

Thats not the same tire. The tread pattern is not the same and it has no shoulder lugs.
Wal-mart Tire:

Hankook Tire:

Similar, but not the same tire. I also could not find it using the Wal-Mart finder in anything other than a 265 in 16" sizes. It was not offered in 33" or 35", at least on the finder on their web site.
Am I looking at what you were talking about?

The walmart tire does have shoulder lugs, it also has a much better desgin for clearing dirt and mud.

id bet the two perform excatly the same, if not the walmart tire a little better.

treadwear would probally determine the winner.

Truck looks good with the new meats! Now go get a 2" coil spacer and level that front end out. $80 for the coil spacers, and if you take it easy off road, you can even re-use the stock shocks.
