Does anyone know who makes a good color
matching touch-up paint for my color of
truck. I bought the Mopar stuff from the dealer
and it looks like s&$t. Far from being a close
match. Here is a pic of my rear bumper I
used the dealer paint on.

Good lord! Looks like you put it on thick. I have the Mopar and its just a tad darker but not that noticeable. Did you shake it up?

Yes, I shook the day lights out of it. It
looks thick but the picture was taken in
Macro-Focus mode. Really zooms in
like it's under a microscope. That paint
spot is not even 1/4" in length.

Is it noticeable from a distance?

yeah, take a picture from a distance and lets see it. If it's that noticable, try a car paints store and get them the mix you a can with your paint code. It might be a little different than the MOPAR stuff

You look at it from 8 feet away and notice it.

The one spot doesn't bother me all that much. But,
I have other small chips that I want to cover. I
am not going to use this paint! That is for sure!
This pic taken apx 3' away.

yeah, if it was just that one spot, I'd say forget it, but since you have a few, I'd try to go to a car paints store, or a body shop and get them to match your paint. Try Sherman Williams Auto Paint, or something like that.

Thanks!! I thought of that as well. I know a place
that will make you a aersol can match paint for
about $20.

The second pic had lots of reflection. Hard to really
see the color mismatch in that photo.

You might want to see if they have a touch up stick. I would be leary of spraying an aersol can on my truck just where the touch up is needed.

thats not that noticeable, you should see my back bumper, horrible! atleast 5 different chips, a 3 inch long scatch on the corner of the bumper and a little dent, some @sshole must have hit me in a parking lot or something. I too got mopar touch-up and it looks horrible and doesnt match too good, but i can live with it, no big deal.

I had a Rock chip on the hood and used the MOPAR touch up paint. I went super slowly and Layered it and it came out very good. You can't tell it was a chip unless you know it's there and go Really close.

I've had good luck with a paint brand called Duplicolor. You can take your paint code to a NAPA store and they can have it the next day.
