theres 10 bolts on my differential cover. does that mean its a 8.25 rear? i read somewhere that 7.25 was 9 bolts and 8.25 was 10. please help me so i dont order the wrong gears.

You can tell by the diff covers. The 8.25 is oval. The 7.25 is octigon.

The only Dakotas with the 7.25 diff are the 4 cylinder trucks I believe.
