I finally went out and got an ID light bar for my truck. It won't fit under the gate so I am going to put it on the gate itself. It's got a plastic frame on it but it has no rubber sealing gasket it on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on a way to make a gasket to line the plastic where it will make contact with the paint?

Napa, Kragen, Pep Boys, Auto Zone, any of those carry a hight temp silicone gasket maker. Its in a tube, comes out liquid, and firms up within about 3 hours. Hope that helps.

I thought about that but I was looking to find something thats a little more clean than that, more like a piece of rubber that I could cut to shape. What about using some high density neoprene?
