Here is some general / historical info on the Value Special: FYI

With the success of the Spirit of '76 model, Dodge realized the potential of this special market package. The 1980 Special Value Package set out to capture similar buyers while offering DOdge dealers a real traffic builder and a strong price leader. Decked out with a house of popular options included as standard equipment.

The equipment list on this special model featured such appearance items as dual rectangular headlamps, bright bumpers front ad rear , bright wheel covers, wood grained instrument panel and steering wheel and a special cashmere vinyl seat trim.

Available on the Sweptline models as D 150 with the 115" and 131" wheel base trucks. These were 4800 lbs GVW as a special value packed unit, this truck provided basic sales appeal plus an opportunity to upgrade customers to the balance of the Dodge pickup line throughout the year.
