Frist off I'd like to say Thx to all the replys to my past post..Dodge Talk Forum is a treasure trove of info.

My Question is whats the difference between full lenght and shorty plug wires?Do I need both?
What are you guys running and were to buy *online.
BTW I have a 2005 dodge 1500 5.7

Shorty's just remove some of the clutter on top of the engine. They'll also change the firing pattern of the plugs. Full length wires maintain the firing order. You can get 'em in colors and perhaps "dress up" the engine room a bit.

I'm at 47,000 miles is that a good time to replace the wire or is it as needed .I'm have to do the plus too I think there the ones it come with ...

From what I've read on the various forums, plug wires are good for longer than plugs; 75K or so. If your Hemi still the original plugs, it's time to change 'em.

shortys are mostly for cosmetic, long ones will be better if your going to do mods to the truck.
