I had my 3.9 V 6 rebuilt for my 96 Dakota. I'm in the process of installing rebuilt engine. I'm having major problems with the installation of the fuel rail and injectors. when i seat the injectors into the manifold bore the holes in the fuel rail will not line up with the threaded holes in the intake manifold. when i try to move the seated injectors and rail enough to line up the holes on the intake the injectors pop up out of their seat. Does anyone have an answer for me I'm at a complete loss.

Original manifold, original fuel rail, original injectors.

i questioned my self when i put my rail back in the first time. seemed like it needed to be pushed hard to get it to go in place right. the o-rings are fat and a bit tough to shove in place. put in your bolts a few threads to help align the rail then get a firm grip and press down till they pop in place. adding some motor oil to the o-rings will help too.
good luck.
