Why they don't supply only ball joints for upper control arm for 04 dodge ram 1500 4x4 and 5.7 Hemi? I don't want to replace the whole arm and then perform alignment. Just replaced the rack and pinion and alignment was done last week. Don't want to pay again. Was there a problem after replacing ball joint only?

Are you wanting to replace the ball joints? You should have waited to do the alignment because if the ones you have now are wore out you'll have to get an alignment anyway one replacing. (You don't "have" to get an alignment, but it's recommended to do.)

Even if I replace the ball joints only? Not the whole arm?

You could replace just the ball joint and be good if nothing has moved. If it gets really worn all the slop and play while going down the road would cause the lower control arm to move from zero in my experience. The upper ball joints are pressed and pinned into the upper control arms so they are non replaceable, that's why you only see control arm and ball joint.
