Got some new all weather floor mats and was wondering how to remove the hook that holds the driver side stock ones in place? Anyone know? I dont want to just rip it out and risk breaking it or messing up my carpet. thanks!

Lift the forward portion towards brake pedal to break loose the little spikes and then curl it back towards the hook, the spikes help prevent it from coming loose

Or you could just measure and pop in a small hole and use it to hold the new mat in place.

My weathertech's had a detent that fit over the hook... You sure yours don't, or are they not custom fit ones?
