some one told me if i wanted to run an off road y-pipe i can get fake cat's that like clap over the y-pipe and just weld the o2 and make it look like it works. is this true? i want to run long tubes but i dont want cats but if i get pulled over and the cop wants to see if i have them, hell see them but they really are fake. lol dose this make sence? or what if i get the long tubes like the pasceheaders or what ever there called cuz there the ones i want, and then buy another brand y-pipe that is ment to go with long tubes is this possible? helpppppppppp

You can achieve the same thing by removing your old cats and chizzling out the guts and reinstalling...

My buddy and I did this same thing to his vette... (YEARRRRRS ago)

yea well i was hoping there was somthing to clap or tack welf over the y pipe cuz i really dont want to sped like 1300$ for high flow cats and long tube headers and then gut thos cats u know.

No you have to find someone to gut your stock cats. You just have to find the right person to do it, because most shops won't because its illegal and they can get in major trouble and lose their business. Here in TX anyway, I don't know about other states
