What engine you got? You need to find you some slicks and heat them up right before Unless of course you're pulling in the dirt.

Your truck should weigh more since its a 250. Those 300 6's are torque motors though i used to have an f150 with one

 

FYI: The 300 ford 6 has a 3.98" stroke, the 240 is 3.18". Both are 4" bore. Chilton lists the ford 240 with 234 ft-lbs@2200 rpm and 150hp, the 300 with 284 ft-lbs@2000 rpm, 170 hp. The 318 Dodge with 322 ft-lbs@2800 rpm, 212hp... These are '67-'71 years. (These are gross ratings in these years.)
