i have the Borla muffler from a Daytona ram on my 05 hemi,single in/dual love the sound, but would like it to be a little louder, currently i have 3" diameter magnaflow rolled edge tips ran out the back, would going with 4" tips make it any louder? Thanks.

I had a 3" dump on mine for awhile, then went with a 4" and it's a little bit louder and definitely deeper! Also shortening it up a little will make it louder. Or at least it did on mine. My dump is 12" long.

That's correct. To achieve this effect, only run the tail pipe into the tip as little as possible. The farther the tailpipe goes into the tip, the less effect the tip will have. If you slide the tip completely over the tailpipe where as the end of the tailpipe is even with the end of the tip, this is no effect at all.

4" tips will increase the sound and tone of the exhaust but they will need to be at least 12" long. The 18"-22" long tips give the best results.

well, i ordered a new muffler last nite, so that should fix the problem, wanting it louder, hehe. I may change the tips laters. Thanks for all the info.

I ordered the same muffler that badblack4x4 just installed on his truck, got it from the same place. 99 bucks, same muffler cost 179 at Summit Racing. Its the Borla Pro XS 3" in/2.5" out
