Who did you buy your gas from? Some refineries allow for a higher sulfur content to remain in the mix after refining. Try changing brands of gasoline.

To the OP, is your exhaust new? If it's new, the smell you are experiencing is a coating burning off the metal (coating is protecting the metal, and also is some residue from the manufacturing process) and will only be temporary.

If you haven't touched the exhaust it could very well be something in the fuel you're using that makes it smell that way. Have you experienced any odd fuel consumption or has your truck been acting funny while this is happening?

My exhaust smelled funny after dumping in a few gallons of 110 leaded I need to get rid of.
I assumed the it was the lead fouling the cats. That was 10kmi ago and I swear there is still a different smell, but performace wise everything is tip top.

Well if it isn't using any fluids (incl. antifreze) I wouldn't worry!
