evap lines

hope I posted this in the right forum....stinkin' noobs. :)
anyway, I have an 01 Ram 1500 QC 2wd, 360, @70k miles. The check engine light came on, throwing an evap code. Checked it out, turns out the evap lines that run off the gas tank to the canister are in need of replacing, but my friendly neighborhood shop wants to charge me an arm and a leg for what seems to be a simple job. Any help? I'm pretty decent working on cars, I'm assuming I just drop the tank and replace the lines. Any "Ram-specific" things to look out for? I'd just rather ask before I have my truck taken apart all over my driveway. Thanks...

remove the bed its easier
then splice off the soft line and replace it.
really?? I never thought of that.... It's like what, 4 bolts to remove the bed?
Six-plus light disconnects and gas fill tube and return line disconnect, . NO SMOKING! Need muscle to lift it and prop it up so it doesn't fall on you while under it. Good luck!
nice.... still sounds better than dropping the tank. I can always get a few buddies over with a case of good beer (hmmm, sunday, before the race? hehe) Thanks for the info, I'll let you know how it went. cheers!!
