I just purchase a 1991 w150 with a 318. the speedo meter quit at 132000., so mileage is unknown. I`m thinking about putting a carburetor on a rebuild engine, What do you guys think. It has TBI now.

I guess it would depend on your emissions laws where you live. Do you have testing?

I say go for it.

Thats what I did to mine! I say go for it. Just dont over carb, I really like the Holley Truck Avenger 670 cfm it starts right now, makes great torque and gets the same fuel economy as the lame TBI. TBI was the automakers way of making lots of money before real fuel injection came out!

What intake do you have, is it an LA engine? If so I would get an Eddies RPM AirGap Dual Plane it will moke almost as much H.P. as an singleplane intake. But the single plane will kill your bottom end torque.
