On cold start my engine has a knock that lasts for about 10-20 seconds then stops. The temp outside was 20F this morning. I just changed the oil monday. Anyone else have this problem? Engine has 101,000 miles.

It's just the lifters that are not oiled well yet from the oil draining back into the pan. Mine does the same thing. I let it sit for like 10-20 seconds like you do and drive on.

This didn't start until I changed my oil. Went to Valvoline High mileage 5W30 and Fram high mileage oil filter. Called my mechanic and he said that the filter was restricting oil flow causing the knock. I'm going to pick up a Mopar filter at walmart and change it out.

Yeah, never use Fram filters. That Mopar filter should be good, however I have never used them. Wix, NAPA, and Amsoil are all great filters.

Picked up a WIX filter. Going to put it on this weekend. Will update after to see if that takes care of the problem.
