my 87 w150 with a 360 cid engine seems to have a generater instead of an altenator .at idel my voltage seems to drop and pickup at acceleration .i have changed the alternator 3 times and the battery 3 times and checked all the wire connections for good contact and shorts . i am told that the voltage regulator is built in the altenator . also all the grounds are reconected and checked. any answards would help
