I have a two speed electric puller fan from a ford something, nice size fan, as large as my stock mechanical.
it has high and low, (3 wires) i tried it out, ones ground, the other two high and low.
now, how can i hook this up to either a thermostat temp sensor, or what?
wanna get rid of my mechanical one. also have a small pusher for in front of my tranny cooler.

I would suggest using relays. There's plenty of info on this board for wiring. Good luck and enjoy the performance gain.

Well!

You could hook it up 2 ways
1. put temp sensor in that turns on High speed at a given Temp
2. put in 2 sensors different temps 1st stage lets say 195 brings on low 2nd stage at 210-215 brings on high speed.
3. hook it to a toggle switch that has 2 positions use 1st position for low then 2nd position for High speed and you control it when it comes on. If this method is used I recommend a failsafe t stat set to 220 that if you havent turned on fan switch it automatically puts it on till engine cools down.
Any of these can be done with some sensors and some simple Isolation relays.

My main problems are, where can i mount sensors, provisions in the block/heads?
then, where to get the sensors?
after that, wiring is easy, just wandered what everyone else was doing?
