I'm looking to pickup a cutout kit for my 05 1500 slt hemi.
Question can I install it on my stock exhaust?
Also, I want it past the cat but after the muffler right?
Do I need any CPU tweaking for when the cutouts open?
Finally do y'all recommend a certain brand/kit/dealer?
Thanks so much in advance - this site is amazing!

Also, I want it past the cat but after the muffler right? Most people put it after the cat but before the muffler. You can also put it before the cat, but its a personal preference. Do some searching on here and you should come up with a good idea of what to expect.
Do I need any CPU tweaking for when the cutouts open? No. The computer will take a bit to get used to it if you flip it open while driving down the street. Best thing to do if you're going to the track is to open it early that day and drive around with it open until you get done at the track.
Finally do y'all recommend a certain brand/kit/dealer?

Try any of our sponsors:

There are sure to be more sponsors that sell them but these are the ones that I just ran across in a quick search. You can check the other sponsors sites by clicking here: http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/sponsors.php

Great, thanks for the answers and links.

One more question. How do you guys like to run your wire? Can the switch be run into the cab or does it stay external?

Theres a little gromet in the floor under the passenger seat. I ran mine from the cutout up through that up under the door jam piece then behind the dash and up by my steering wheel.
