Well my truck popped code P0406 today. So I went by Advanced and had them look it up. Turns out to be the EGR valve is bad. I have the extended warranty. Is this covered under warranty since it is part of the emissions? Advanced told me that it is a dealer part anyway.
ok did you try resetting the PCM to see if the code will go away? i would start there, if your not wanting to hit up the dealer i saw an EGR valve on ebay this moring. ill find a link for you.
EDIT just looked on ebay its for the 06+ and it does not look like the correct one for the ram i think it might be for the cars
I just replaced the EGR valve on my 04 last week. Very easy to replace, took about 20-30 minutes and the cost from the dealer was $67. The valve requires 2 different gaskets. It comes with the larger size gasket but you need to buy the smaller one. Bee was running really crappy at about 25-39 MPH and would stall sometimes when braking to make a turn. runs like new now. :rck:

Thanks in advance,
Shelby
