light is on and staying on . it started out to where i could push the lever down and release it and light would go off. after a couple of times of trying.

the truck did not have any hang up on the brakes until today.I can tell it is effecting the back breaks now with drag.

I am going to change the brake fluid and back breaks. when I am in there as I have read I pull off the rotor and the E brake adjustment arm is behind the rotor .

Never messed with one before . any tips some one have to offer ? I checked on here for past info and have found none.

well changed the back breaks and fluid. nothing there. called a mechanic he said pull the release lever and pull up on the foot lever. light went off. turns out it is the foot lever spring from what I understand.

Exactly!!! If you have a tow hitch, them wires will short and play games with all kinds of pcm, trans, and overall performace
