Just checking for feedback. I run the 10% Ethanol, but would love to run the E-85 if it isn't going to damage the goods.
Living in the heartland, anything that will help get us off the oil company hostage wagon and into using our own US grown corn would be a move in the right direction in my book.

Any solid feedback appreciated.

I think your truck would need to be set up for it 1st.
I used to have a 1999 3.0 V6 ford ranger.
It had the FFV engine (there were non-FFV 3.0's) to run on E-85.
No E-85 around here, so I never tried it though.

Maybe with a tuner and the right settings?.........

BTW- in the rangers owners manual it showed that E-85 usually got less MPG than gasoline.

It wont work there are lots of compontents in the system that are not made to run E-85 The fuel rail has to get changed the pump hoses the lines all have to be stainless steel the compression has to increase alot to run E-85 the gas is like 85% eteonal and 15% gas this means high alchole content. The computer does know what to do with that gas also the injectors have to be replaced and all the o-rings in the fuel system have to get replaced there not compatablie. I Know alot of information on this because I converted a GMC to run on E-85 in 2003 it was a compition between schools sponsored by GM.
