The Intrepid has 130K, been a great vehicle, now code 45** popped up - 'Automatic transmission input DTC has been set in the transmission controller'. (Code not in my Haynes manual, but found on this website.)

My dealer's mechanic, great guy, made the 'ummmmm' when I called him. I assume my tranny is going to melt down soon. Anyone had this code and could recommend a cheap fix?

Want to get through at least another year with the car so I can by my wife a charger
