Drive ablity Issue

Recently started having problem with my truck was driving at highway speed and truck started to struggle. Doesnt want to shift to overdrive but once it does doesnt seem to change the fact that it still doesnt want to go. When I slowed down started to here some what of a hissing noise from the right side of the truck. It doesnt seen to have the same peep it did at lower speeds either. Just lookin for help
Its a 1999 Ram 1500 quad cab 5.2 around 170000 miles

Cool thats what I was thinkin just wanted to see if their was anything crazy out their with these trucks. I know the Dakotas where really bad about that. Went threw 3 in a 98 dakota that I had with 140000 miles on it.
