I recently had to replace both drivers side hinges due to a fight with an auto car wash. The car wash won. Any ways, it screwed the hinges up, but the door was fine. I ended up having to remove the front quater panel, so I could access the hinges with the door closed. I changed out the hinges and was able to line everything up and have the door seal correctly. It was a pain in the ass, but the body shop told me that was the only way.
It took longer to remove the quater panel than it did to swap hinges and line evrything up. Heres what I had to do: Remove the drivers side headlight, the bolts attaching the battery holder to the quater panel, remove the wiper cowl, front wheel & wheel well liner. I think there was like 7 different screws holding the quater panel on.
