I have a question I just bought this truck. but I just noticed that it has that part of the frame rusted. the front part and the whole frame are generally good and free of rust. I wonder if it can be repaired and how serious the problem is

Is the frame cracked here ,or is it undercoating of some kind ?

I have no idea if it's cracked or just superficial. the rest of the frame is fine

I tried to go through it with a screwdriver and it does not go through just loose pieces of metal with rust but it is still solid enough to go through. I exerted a lot of pressure on the inside with the very, very strong screw driver and it didn't go through. I think it's a good thing
