Hey guys, 2000 dodge ram 1500 2wd 5.9 auto, would a 4x4 frame be the same? Found an old rusty truck cheap and thought about pulling the tranny, transfer case, driveshafts, and front end as long as it'll work under my 2wd frame.

It won't be a direct swap, but if you can cut and weld.... lol

Isn't just a different front crossmember? The 2wd crossmember seems to be held on with 4 straight welds that are like 6" long, like they decided that bolting on k-members was too expensive.

I thought they did use the same frame? The 3/4 and 1 ton's are all the same, 2wd and 4wd. Minus the front suspension points of course.
If 1/2 tons are different, then I can't help you at all.
