I was recently talking to a buddy the other day about what Chrysler was thinking when they made the dashes in our trucks. He has a 2001 3500, the dash is gone. I mean gone, it's just one big hole up there. My 2000 2500 has started cracking pretty bad, and isn't far off from being in pieces. He told me that Dodge has a 1800 # that if you call enough times Dodge will furnish you a new Dash but you have to pay for it being installed. Anyone heard anything on that??

I have not heard that yet but it relates to something I don't preach enough about.

What's cheaper, a $595 carport or a new paint job...now add a new dash.

I have heard in some fairly rare cases of owners having that deal, however I called Dodge about 6 times regarding the dash in my previous truck, a 2000 model and they did nothing about it except send me a free oil change/tire rotation coupon.

I would suggest to try it, but Chrysler is in major financial trouble now and I doubt you will get anywhere. May have to bite the bullet and buy a molded cover from Genos.
