I have a 2011 Dodge two wheel drive Dakota with the v6 engine. I was having trans stutter pretty bad on grade with light loads. Also had some stutter while driving on flat pavement around 45 mph. The truck has right at 40K miles and the trans never serviced.
My first step was to have the trans fluid flushed and refilled with +4 fluid.
This really helped and the stutter has all but disappeared. Also I noticed that the trans does not go into overdrive as soon as it did before. It also does not shift in and out of overdrive as easily as it did prior to the fluid change.
This might only be a temporary fix but I wanted share this in case it might help someone else.
By the way this truck has only seen light service with no heavy towing.
