Are you in the DFW area? Thanks for the links!

I've been looking for a 318 or 360. But all I can find is ones out of 80's trucks. I don't want to have to deal with emissions deletes for my 75.

Emissions delete is simple, just use your manifolds and accessories ;)

I like that last one speed..has a 360 that has never been cranked...real story..they cranked it without prelubing and burnt it up already.

My brothers i am not feeling this warlock
http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/cto/974563993.html
looks girly
DDPR,

I don't know about "girliy", but it sure does look bizzare!

I like a "dude truck" as much as the next guy -- but I can't see a single thing I can get excited about which has been done to that poor Warlock (if that is what it truly is).

I suppose that I am "one to talk" with my own truck's disco-era paint job and factory plaid interior . . .

Heh heh heh .... I was thinking the same thing myself... Sorry, but trucks should NOT have fender skirts.. that just screams of 'Dork City' ;)
And what's with the bed cover with wheel wells on it? Now if it had unmuffled exhaust sticking out the top of the hood, that would have been cool....

Hey Diver, I thought the same thing about that 360 ... I mean, who's gonna drop a brand new engine in ... well... anything, and not even see it it runs.

"Hey Billy-Joe ... Here's an idea... Let pull the engine in my ol' pick-um-up ... Drop in a brand new factory engine ... Put er' all back together ... Never start the engine once .... Then sell it for half what we paid for the engine!"

Yeeeeeeeah...... riiiiiiiiiight......... :D

DDPR,

Now, that's a truck I can get into!

I have always admired the fact that Dodge was the first to market a factory-built dude truck -- and actually call it a "Dude".

I liked the ones which were built in Hi-Impact Colors such as Top Banana and Vitamin-C the best. I think I have even seen one in Plum Crazy.

Too bad they didn't continue the package into '72 and beyond; I would have enjoyed seeing what Mopar might have used as a stripe pattern on the Lifestyle Era bodies . . .

Yes that Dude was a nice ride, it would of been nice to see go past '71. As for the Warlock that I post from craigslist, I have to agree with you all on that one, I think the guy must of smoken some really good stuff when he thought out that project. But hey different strokes for different fokes! I'll have to chck out the ones that Speed posted....

Not really, I'm about halfway in between Dallas and Oklahoma City, I live in north Texas about 2 miles off of the Oklahoma border. I always check both Dallas and OKC for sales as they are the two biggest cities arround here.

Ahhh..... 'ELK, OK...' .... I remember it well.....
We were trying to stay as 'true' to RT. 66 as you possibly could in 1999...
(Damn I-40 kept getting in the way...)
Stayed at a KOA there....
Freekin' (Kaddydids? ... Is that what they're called? Spelling?) Buttazzed -freekin-roaches, the size of your THUMB.
Gigantic ugly-assed bugs that looked like some Creepy-Crawler you'd make in a Mattel 'Vac-U-Form', all hanging in the trees, sounding like like chainsaws at 5,000 RPM, until the sun went down.... Ahhh.... Elk, OK.... I loved that place....

(No seriously, it sucked bigtime ... The place made my little-bitty kids CRY...)

the set was made two years before i was born. I wished i could say it was passed down but i bought it May 1999. The set is complete with even the paints but they are long since dried up.

That would be Katydids, bherder :) And I actually like the sounds of them and cicadas, and even crickets :D Puts me to sleep. Kinda like rain on a tin roof. Of course, I'm one of those that has to have noise to fall asleep easily, I run a fan year round.

But these things were LOUD ... I mean it sounded like there was 2-3 chainsaws running around the campsite... And they were e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e... Creepyist damn things I ever saw....
