Ive been talking to a seller on ebay about 6 1/2 speakers and he said coxial are better overall but component will last longer. I was thinking of either the Sony XS-v160HP which are component speakers or the coxial type Almani S7-602. Im going for more bass at high levels, and put the to note i WILL NOT drill into my a frame for tweeters, or drill anywhere for that reason

Components are usually better, provided that you give them the power that they require.

Which set sounds better to you when you listen to them?

For MORE bass go with 6X9's.
6X9's put out quite abit more midbass than 6 1/2's.

For better imaging & staging components are better.

What would I do? Get infinty 6X9's cheap from "onlinecarstereo".

I'm of course assuming there already is a hole for 6X9's (could be wrong).

i have the XPOLDS from sony right now, the surround sound on all 4 is amazing, just the Bass on them when played loud isent too good. so i can trade them in w/ my buddy who owns the store and im wondering since the tweeter is right next to the woofer in a coxial weather i should go for that (more bass?)

Basically i want the dude behind me at the traffic light to hate my guts!! My bass needs to rock his mirrors lol. no subs/box yet... thats later on, only speakers now

Then put it in reverse, and floor it. This will accomplish your goal.

I take back the advice that I put in my previous post. Clearly you don't need to know which is better.

Forget about it.

You're not going to accomplish your goal by replacing your speakers.

What head unit are you running the speakers off?

head units only put out 16 - 22 watts per channel, depending on make/model.
This just made me smile! I have a hard time explaining to folks that my amplifiers are really only 12.5 watts per channel.
