Is this a late model 3rd gen, like a '04.5 or '05 model? If so get under the truck and look up at the AC compressor in the engine compartment. There is a wiring harness running across the compressor. Most likely it's chaffing and shorting to the housing. This can cause issues with both the camshaft position sensor and the AC transducer. Repair the wiring and wrap the harness with plastic wire loom will solve the issue.

2001 3500 4wd diesel, Interesting because the last couple of days I have noticed water from the AC dripping and I did not know why when the AC as been off.
Thanks for the info and I will take a look
