on the steering wheel are some buttons:
left: cruise on/off, set --> no problem
right: accel resume, can --> no problem
the interesting here is that one 's you hit the brakes and use accel resume again, the engine "remembers" your set speed.

Coast allows you to do just that...coast. What it does is temporarily allow the cruise control to disengage allowing you to slow down in case there's a slow poke in front of you. Once you release the button, the cruise control engages and you come back up to your original speed.

Coast button allows the van to coast until it's 1mph slower for every tap. Useful since accel gives you 2mph for every tap, and I usually only want 1mph.

I've never held it down though, so I don't know if it resumes your former speed, but if it's like any other cruise systems I've driven, it shouldn't.

It does what is stated. I have driven a Dodge caravan with cruise control, I used it as I approached TRUCKS or other slower moving traffic on the highway.
It's more useful on the open road, were traffic isn't so heavy.
