We just changed the clutch in a 99 Dodge Dakota, 5.2L, V8, 5-speed, 4-wheel drive. We also changed the clutch Master cylinder. Everything is all put back together, but the clutch will not disengage and the tranny will not go into gear with the truck running. We are at our wit's end. What did we miss?

Either the disc is in backwards and jamming, or the linkage isn't working correctly.

he said he's sure the disc is in right. he said it would only go in one way. What in the linkage could be jacked up? Sorry don't know much about this...posting for someone else.

it can be a few things, check your flywheel may need a new one,can check your pressure plate or your throw out bearing is defective, i just had a new clutch put in my dakota not even a week ago and the new throw out bearing went bad

do you have pressure in the pedal? you may have to bleed the line of the clutch cylinder again.
