I've heard a lot of different methods for cleaning wax, etc. off of black trim and decided to try my own.

I had some Mr. Clean Magic Erasers around the house and thought I'd give one a try - it worked GREAT! Took off the mess and left the trim looking good as new.

Here are some pics (no, it's not my Ram - it's my wife CRV, but it worked none the less - and you can see the reflection of my Ram in the last pic :D ):

Might have to grab some of that to get the wax off my rear bumper trim. Thanks for the suggestion!

I gotta try that too. My trim is looking pretty ratty from the wax.

Another good prduct is called Plexus, which I would use after the plastic is cleaned with magic eraser. Basically its like Johnsons wax, but designed for plastics, unlike armor-all this stuff will not harm plastics and keeps it looking new for a while. It also turns oxidised plastic back to black.

That stuff looks good but where do you buy it? On there site you have to buy it in bulk for some reason.

I may have to check that stuff out.

Another product that was recommended to me is called JustOnce: http://www.justonce.com/

I haven't tried it yet (haven't washed the wife's car since doing the 'de-waxing' of the cladding...), but I'll report back on it when I do.
