Anyone know how to get them damn mirror covers off? Ive tried and tried for months and I never seem to have gotten more than a quarter off. Any tricks to it? Ive tried heating them and all.

If you are talking about PUTCOs chrome covers
I heated them then used a 2 inch wide metal chisel like tool to pry under and gave it hell and they popped off

If you are talking about OEM Plastic ( But you said CHROME) then you have to push the mirror all the way to the side and you can see tabs behind it you have to pop with a screw driver --then push the other direction for more tabs

I just had an extra back part of the mirror with them covers on them and I wanted to paint the extra ones red. I didnt like all the water marks and bugs I found on them. The handles are ok, I just got the covers but I wouldnt mind having the real thing but they cost a lot .
