This is ideal for the SRT-10 hoods I assume. Otherwise you might as well just slap a K&N cone on the end of your throttle body.

2003-2007 HEMI Ram! 1500 and 2500

I will have more info soon! The price should be under $500.

Ed, I would love to see a few other shots of this intake if possible. Looks to be a clear plastic cover over the entire element... kinda cool looking

This looks intriguing. But, I agree, this set up would cater to the ram air hoods, and those of us who dont have a ram air hood, would see little if any benefit ?

yeah. I would also like to see more pictures. If someone could make a dual snorkel ram air kit that would hook up to air scoops similar to Air Ram's jet stream's that would be cool.

I am trying to get better pics, but look at the red parts on the sides. It will have ram air scoops that attach to them! And the top is covered by clear plastic.

Since its sealed, Im sure its similar to the little diagram I am posting. In my opinion Vararam makes some nice looking products. But they always seem to highly inflate their numbers for our Rams. The last intake I saw from them said it gained something like almost 30hp on the 5.7L Hemi's. That is total BS.

PS - Excuse my lack of talent using MSpaint. LOL

but where will the tubes go i wish that could give us something as an option for ram air with all the hoods out, kinda like the old musclecar hoods with the big cuts in top and they ram it all straight down into the engine

I had thier first intake for the hemi trucks....garbage. I now have an AIRAID setup which is much better.

This looks to be designed a LOT better than the one that I had, just sucks that I wasted that money on their other intake to begin with....they should give me some sort of credit towards the new one being that they realized the old one was complete garbage and stopped selling it shortly after I purchased mine.

I saw a advertisement for their intake a couple years back... How was it designed, and what was so bad about it? Just wondering... You still have it or did you use it as a paperweight

I still have it...sitting around in my shed somewhere.

I was a cone type filter enclosed in a cylindrical enclosure. It had an opening on the bottom of the enclosure where the air intake tube attached forcing air through the filter and then out the end which went to the throttle body. It originally hooked up to the tube coming off the hemi hat and then had about a 3' hose that extended down in the engine compartment towards the ground behind the head light and had a "velocity" scoop on the end of it. In order to check the filter, you had to completely remove the system and take out 3 screws to remove the filter from the enclosure...PITA.

Then I spoke with them again and they said they picked up some more gains by just attaching the Vara-Ram setup directly to the hemi hat instead of to the tube that was once there. This looked very ackward and didn't look professional at all.

It was very difficult getting thier couplings over the tube they provided, which I never accomplished, so it had an unfinished look. I ended up removing the hemi hat and attaching an AIR AID MIT tube to the Vara-Ram setup and then found a deal on the rest of the AIR AID CAI at which point I removed the rest of the Vara Ram setup.

Looks like a lot more thought went into this design, I am just disgusted I spent about $350 on thier first design and I should have sent it back, but I didn't think they would give me a refund.
