I was heading out yesterday morning and i was going down the drive way when i had to stop for this kid, after he left i gave it some gas and my rpm's went up but it didn't go. I tried again and nothing so i put it back in park and then drive and it finally went. About 10 seconds after my check engine light comes on. It drives fine but i took it to the dealer anyway, i left it there all day but they couldn't look at it so i picked it up and took their first appt on monday. Drove to a buddies and when i left i noticed the light went off. It's still off now so i'm wondering if i should still take it in on monday.

If it comes back, take it to autozone and they will read the code for free. Or use the "key trick" which I don't know how to do but there are 1000 threads on it if you search. Way easier than having to leave your truck the entire day at the stealership.
If you can get in and out with their " first " appointment I'd let the stealership check it out. I'm bummed for you that they kept it there all day and didn't look at it though, sounds like a crappy dealer. I've got a so

do the key trick..
with the truck off, turn the key forward (but not start), then back, forward again, then back, then forward again, and the code will pop up on your dash. You can post it here or google it and you can tell what the light is for.
