Just in case anybody ends up in the same boat i was in . If you install a 4 or 5" flip kit type drop in the rear and do not get or just dont want to use shock extenders , the stock shocks from an 02-04 tahoe are the perfect length for that size drop and are inexpensive at a-zone or other auto stores .

Why not just order a good set of drop shocks?

You can get these for about half the price / most local auto parts stores have em so you dont have to wait on shipping , and the ride quality is not that much different .

I got toxic drop shocks for dirt cheap. I was on a budget when i needed to replace....

I have toxic drop shocks on my 06, and I dont really see any difference from stock.
