I am going to change my plenum gasket tommorrow as well ass wries/plugs/dist cap/rotor/oil/ etc. I purchased the upper plenum gasket from a local parts store. I have the rtv high temp silicone for the job. My questions are:
1) do I also need any other gaskets that would usually come with the hughes kit?
2) do I need the bolts that come with the hughes kit?
3) whats the purpose behing the combustion chamber cleaner?

also can I get these other gaskets/bolts locally instead of online?

I am doing the same this weekend, and I ordered the plenum reinforcement kit, which comes with the gasket and pan. I also ordered the intake gasket kit, which comes with new bolts as well. You should not reuse TTY (torque-to-yield) bolts, which the kit comes with. This would also be a good time to go with a 180* stat as well. These can all be ordered from hughesengines.com
