sorry for that, box is cleaned out. as for not responding lately ugg....i've been out of town a lot lately for work. i was on a barge this week. it was a pretty cool expierience being on something a quarter of a mile long and actually have to navigate it downstream.

Your awake! Good Mornin! Yeah, it is pretty cool on a barge. I was on a sea barge & we hit the Triangle in it. Saw some sharks too. Scared the crap outa me. :SHK: Never did it in the river though. Seen some pretty long ones (many joined together) on the Mississippi.

 

yeah, we only had six tied together, the river isn't too big, so cant really get them too large due to having to pass through locks. i think the biggest tow one of our barges has done is 22 down the river, but i do know that there are boats like our that do in the mid 40's at a time on the mississippi r. quite often.

I think it was by Clevland or Cincy, the river was so polluted it caught fire. It was only a few years ago.

that is actually what Cleveland is famous for (forget about the fact that we have the rock and roll hall of fame)...
