Situation: 2007 1500 QCSB, stock 4.7. 2wd. I think 3.55 gears. Only mod, so far, is replacing stock rubber with Firestone Destinations in 285/70/17. Also I'm late 40's, so I drive moderately, and only rarely get on it.

Goal: Max MPG on a budget. (currently about 16.7 combined according to iPhone) I drive about 500 mi./week, with about 80% highway at about 70 to 75 normally. I already do 5K oil change, tire pressure, etc.

Plan: (Broken into bite sized pieces)
1) Tires DONE
2) Mopar soft Tonneau - looks like I'll get one off a wrecked truck for $150 to $175 from craigslist in a few days.
3) Jet Stream Scoop and Powerwire
4) Spectre CAI

Then I'm not sure. Maybe a better muffler. I'm not sure about gears.

Any thoughts or ideas? Can't get too crazy, as this truck is for my practice and is my "corporate image".

Thanks in advance,

Mosby

you'll need a better exhaust so it can breath but find a really quiet one i think magnaflow makes one that is very quiet. also find a used superchips it will help your shifts out and your mileage.

for muffler maybe try a hooker aerochamber. i just put one on my truck gives it a respecful growl down low 2k rpm till about 4500 then dissappears all together. can easily carry conversations over the mild rumble. no to little drone at highway.(you will more feel the rumble then hear any drone ). the best part? cost me 85 bucks which from what i heard is an awesome price.
