My brakes are squeaking pretty bad. It doesn't do it on hard braking, just light braking, like right before you roll to a stop or whatever. Anyway, I tried to take a look at the rotors through the rims, doesn't seem like they are wearing abnormally, but I just want to be safe. What pads do you all prefer. I've always been using Bendix pads on my Jeep, so unless you guys advise otherwise, thats what I'll get. I just like their lifetime warrenty.

Also, If I see that the rotors are messed up, any particular brand I should get?

Bendix is good as an OE replacement. Have your rotors turned as well.

What are your thoughts on Akebono ceramic pads?

I use Raybestos brute stops on my 95 ram. Quiet and long lasting. Mine do squeak sometimes and I spray a little brake cleaner on there and it's fine for a few months. It is perfectly normal for disc brakes to squeak and usually does not indicate a problem.
